The pico laser works with extremely short energy pulses in the picosecond range, making it faster and gentler than conventional lasers. How does the Alix Lumina Pro work?
The Pico laser sends ultra-short light pulses (one trillionth of a second) into the skin, which shatter the target pigment (such as melanin in pigment spots or color pigments in tattoos) with high precision. Because the energy only hits the skin for an extremely short time, this reduces the risk of heat exposure and tissue damage. The laser breaks down the pigments into tiny particles that are then removed by the body's own immune system.
